About Us

Brittany Garrett

I grew up near Seattle, Washington and moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University. I graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in geography and a minor in business in 2010. In 2021 I studied at the University of Utah Reading Clinic and I am certified in the Next Steps and Higher Steps intervention models. These models have been used and studied since the early 1990s and are based on robust research.

Currently, I live in Northern Utah County with my husband and four children, two girls and two boys. I volunteer regularly in my children's classrooms at the local elementary school and I am on the school's PTA board. I actively volunteer in other capacities with children and youth in my community. 

I'm constantly learning more about reading and could chat all day about it! I am an avid reader and love discussing books, especially if there's a movie adaptation. The book is usually better. I love hanging out with my kids, going on walks, playing board games, and eating ice cream.
